Ground-Up Airport Hotel Success
Kevin Ritter, one of our Senior Project Managers, has been recognized by Integrated Hospitality Construction for his excellent work on ESA Premier Suites at Denver Airport – a ground-up, 124-room extended-stay hotel with full kitchens in all rooms. His work securing Site Development Plan approval, Site Civil construction permits, and Building permits required rigorous effort through Denver’s process-intensive permitting environment, coordinating documentation and navigating requirements to gain entitlements, and secure enabling Site work permits for vertical construction.
During the initial construction phase, Integrated Hospitality Construction re-engaged with Service First Permits and Kevin to push toward inspection close-out and Certificate of Occupancy. After re-engagement, the project proceeded more predictably with Kevin navigating the sequencing and documentation requirements across various agency and departmental silos. His knowledge and contacts were instrumental in clearing obstacles, while his detailed checking of everyone’s submissions against City standards prevented numerous resubmissions. Kevin’s ability to clearly define and track the process so all stakeholders understood the goals and their roles was critical to completion and turnover without further delays.
The hotel, which opened last month, not only serves Denver International Airport travelers, but is also conveniently located near key employers in the area, including Amazon, UCHealth, and Ball Aerospace. It features suites with fully equipped kitchens and dedicated areas for dining, workspace, and sleeping.
Cheers to the partnership – and to many more check-ins at ESA Premier Suites! 👏 ✈️
